Customers Are Charged by 3rd Party After Placing an Order


A customer may report that they were charged by a 3rd-party company in some time after placing an order on your website and you want to check if there may have been a security breach on Symphony side.


Symphony uses the Stripe platform to process payments. No credit card numbers, CVV codes, or expiry dates are stored in the Symphony system; we only receive a token (which cannot be used by other companies to charge customers) and the last 4 digits of the customer's credit card for each order.

In such cases, please reach out to Stripe directly to see if there were any additional transactions related to the user or ask the customer to contact the company which billed their credit card/ PayPal account.
